Trump Calls for Increased GOP African-American Outreach

At a rally Saturday, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump called for increased African-American outreach by the party, citing their importance and saying that the GOP needed to be "an inclusive party". Trump specifically said:
"I fully recognize that outreach to the African-American community is an area where the Republican Party must do better, and will do better...the GOP is the party of Abraham Lincoln and I want our party to be a home of the African-American voter once again" -Donald Trump
Trump also emphasized that low-income African-American and Hispanics were losing jobs as a result of the increased open borders, which goes with his message of stricter borders, saying:
"The people hurt most by our open border are low-income Hispanic and African-Americans who are competing for jobs and community resources against new arrivals" -Donald Trump
Later in the day, RNC chairman Reince Preibus emphasized that the party's expanded outreach would extend not only to African-Americans but also to Hispanic-Americans, writing in a statement:
"Just one component of our expansive effort to engage the Hispanic community, and their contributions will help us compete for every vote in every community all the way through Election Day" -Reince Preibus, RNC Chairman
