Green Party candidate Jill Stein, commenting on the Louisiana floods in Louisiana attributed the flood to climate change, saying:
"We see the Louisiana flood as further evidence of the global crisis posed by climate change...Until we humans make global sweeping changes to our economic and social systems, we must expect these types of disasters to continue regularly" -Green Party
Republican nominee Donald Trump has also visited Louisiana this week and President Barack Obama, who received criticism for not cancelling his visit to come down, plans on visiting this week.
Trump has consistently voiced his opposition to the Carbon tax and called climate change a hoax, but has voiced his support for Louisiana rebuilding. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has declined to visit, but released a statement saying, "My heart breaks for Louisiana".
