George H. W. Bush to cast ballot for Clinton?

The daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, and former Maryland lieutenant governor, Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend made a surprising Facebook post on Monday. She was at a board meeting for the Points of Light Foundation at the Bush family compound in Kennebunkport, Maine. According to POLITICO reports, in the Facebook post is a picture of her shaking hands with former President George H. W. Bush with the caption saying:
The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!

No Trump endorsement from Bush family

It is public knowledge that George H.W. Bush as well as his sons George W. Bush and Jeb Bush have not endorsed Trump, but thus far none of them have said they will actually cast a vote for Clinton. This lack of endorsement from the Bush family has indicated their displeasure with the Trump campaign in its own right.
In fact both of the former Bush Presidents did not attend the Republican National Convention in Cleveland where Trump was announced the Republican nominee. A spokesperson for the Bush family replied to an email from The Guardian in regards to the Facebook post saying:
The vote President Bush will cast as a private citizen in some 50 days will be just that: a private vote cast in some 50 days. He is not commenting on the presidential race in the interim.
- Jim McGrath, spokesperson for Bush family
This reply neither confirms nor denies the allegation, but it certainly does send a strong message in other ways with its lack of support for the Republican nominee Donald Trump for the 2016 election.
