CNN announced that they will have a one hour town hall with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson to give him more exposure to potential voters. Notable CNN host Anderson Cooper will moderate the event, which will allow Johnson to talk more about the goals for the Libertarian Party and his political platform.
Johnson, the former New Mexico Governor, and his running mate Bill Weld, former Massachusetts Governor, are attempting to become the first third-party campaign to win an election. Polls currently show them at about 11% and rising, slightly under the 15% threshold needed to qualify for the national debate.
The event will air on CNN on August 3rd at 9 P.M. Eastern Time.
