Fox Business announced that they will have a one hour town hall with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson to give him more exposure to potential voters. This town hall comes on the heels of Johnson's town hall on CNN last week, which netted strong ratings and increased exposure to Johnson.
Fox Business Host John Stossel will moderate the event, which will allow Johnson to talk more about the goals for the Libertarian Party and the differences between his platform and those of the two major parties. The major topics expected to be covered include economic and defense issues.
Johnson, the former New Mexico Governor, and his running mate Bill Weld, former Massachusetts Governor, are attempting to become the first third-party campaign to win an election. Polls currently show them at about 9-10% and rising, slightly under the 15% threshold needed to qualify for the national debate.
The event will air on CNN on August 26th at 9 P.M. Eastern Time.
